摘　　要：鞭蝎似蝎又像蜘蛛,体样古怪,令人生畏,是较稀罕的,亦是古老的蛛形纲动物Arachini-a,在三亿五千万年前古生代的石炭记就有其化石,虽然,它是脚须目Pedipalpida典型代表,但近年来国人对此动物尚无人研究和介绍。The Typopeltis stimpsonii(wood)is the only representative of Pedipalpida Arachnia in China. It is mainly dis-tributed in Southerm area of Yang--Zi--River. But the auther first collected whip--scopion in Henan Province andthe Northermost limit of its distribution is on Tong--Bai Mountinrange (32°20′N), It is distributed more Northerlythan in Japan(32°11′N).
