摘　　要：在建立全国1∶50万地质图数据库的工作中,根据使用的需要,对原有国家标准中的地质年代代码做了改编,使之适用于按地质年代进行任意检索和各种统计,按不同需要对各种面元进行合并,根据年代代码由计算机自动生成所需的面色、花纹和地质符号等。近10年来的应用证明效果良好。结合国外的情况,建议以地质年龄为主体编制地质年代代码。In the process of establishment of the 1：500000 national geological map database, the authors revised the codes of geologic ages in the original national standards for geological age codes in accordance with the requirements for application so as these codes to be applicable to arbitrary retrieval and statistics according to geologic ages, merging of various area elements according to different re- quirements and automatic formation of required painted colors, patterns and geological symbols according to the age codes. The appli- cations over the past ten years have proved that the results are good. According to the application abroad, the authors propose that the codes of geologic ages will be revised with geologic real ages.
