摘　　要：航道服务区作为一个新鲜事物正逐渐为人们所接受,但其相关理论研究尚处于探索阶段。通过调研分析,探讨船民的服务需求特征,按服务时间特征将航道服务区分为三种类型,并分析确定了相应的服务需求概率和服务时间,为航道服务区的布局规模研究提供基础。As a fresh thing, inland waterway service area （IWSA） is being accepted gradually, but related researches on it are still at an early stage. The characteristics of service demand on IWSA based on field investigation in Jiangsu province is analyzed. The IWSA is separated into three types by service time for the research of IWSA＇s layout and dimensions. Corresponding service demand probability and service time are discussed and determined.
