摘　　要：作为久负盛名的世界科技中心之一,英国生物技术和产业的综合实力位居世界第二位,是国际生物科技的领头羊,英国10%的GDP直接受益于生物技术的应用。优越的科学研究人文环境、雄厚的基础科学研究实力、成熟完善的产业等优势条件,为英国生物科技和产业奠定了良好的发展基础。政府采取加大公共投入、制定战略规划、出台优惠政策、完善创新体系、强化协调管理等措施,为其在国际竞争中处于优势地位创造了条件。As one of the renowned center of the world science and technology the United Kingdom has always been acting as the global leader in biotechnology and its overall strength of biotechnology and bio-industry ranks 2nd globally. 10% of British GDP benefits from the application of biotechnology. It is not amazing that the UK has achieved the profound base for the biotechnology and bio-industry development by favorable scientific research atmosphere, profound basic science foundation, and mature industrial system. The British government engages greatly to maintain its competitive advantages in world biotechnology through increasing public investment, establishing strategic plans, implementing preferential policies, improving innovation system,strengthening coordinative management, and etc.
