摘　　要：埃米琳·潘克赫斯特是20世纪初英国著名的妇女运动的代表人物,她掀起了一场英国历史上绝无仅有的激进妇女参政运动。埃米琳·潘克赫斯特的思想理念很大程度上决定了这场运动的方向。她的激进思想的形成与她的成长背景和早期政治经历密切相关:童年的家庭教育和成长环境奠定了她激进思想的基础;少女时代在法国求学的生涯,使她深受法国激进思想的激励;与理查德.潘克赫斯特的婚姻则促进了她激进思想的形成,而早期公共事务的实践使她的激进思想转化为一种自觉的政治意识。Emmeline Pankhurst is a famous representative of the British women movement in the early 20th century, who has triggered an unprecedented militant suffrage movement. Her thought has decided this movement＇s direction to a great extent. We try to analyze the formation ot＂ Emmeline Pankhurst ＇ s radical thought through understanding her background of growth and her political experience. Her childhood education and environment largely laid the foundation for her radical thought, her years in France, her marriage with Richard Pankhurst promoted the formation of her radical thought,and the early practice in public affairs changed her radical thought into a self-conscious political awareness.
