微型短文的背诵对英语水平的促进作用——桂林工学院非英语专业英语低起点学生教学准实验研究

摘　　要：国内学者关于词汇在语篇中的记忆的研究思辩性的较多,广西师范大学部分英语教师在实证方面作出了可喜的努力,编写了《大学英语四级词汇微型短文词汇记忆法》一书并做了一些教学实验。本文作者以该书为准实验材料,在非英语专业英语低起点班级中进行了教学准实验,要求学生背诵短文。实验取得了良好效果,证明微型短文的背诵对低起点学生的英语水平有明显的促进作用。Chinese scholars have done a lot of theoretical researches on words memorization in discourse contexts, whereas only some experts from Guangxi Normal University have conducted empirical researches in this respect with the book Mini--Passages For College English Vocabulary Learning compiled and some teaching experiments carried out. But up till now there have been no researches as to what effect the learning of this book has on low-- English-- leveled non-- English major college students. The present authors, with the book Mini--Passages as the treatment material, conducted a quasi--experiment in ordinary teaching environment on a group of non-- majors of low English level by requiring them to recite the mini-- passages. The experiment turned out to be successful, showing that the recitation of mini--passages can improve the English ability of low-- English-- leveled non-- English majors.
