摘　　要：借鉴其他领域对淤堵作用的定义,归纳了水库坝基防渗方面淤堵作用的相关概念和定义,用自行设计研制的渗透淤堵仪进行了一系列试验,在试验的基础上,分析了淤堵作用的存在和降低土体渗透性的作用过程,从而论证了淤堵作用对坝基防渗或减渗的意义。The concept and definition related to silting of reservoir foundation is defined on the basis of referencing the definition of silting applied in other fields. A series of tests are conducted by using the self-invented silting equipment. From the test, it obtains the information on the role of silting on reducing permeability of reservoir foundation. It is proved that silting may prevent the seepage of foundation.
