Effects of Dietary Copper Supplementation as Cupric Sulfate on Rumen Fermentation and Urinary Excretion of Purine Derivatives in Steers

摘  要:选3头装有永久性瘤胃瘘管的西门塔尔杂交肉牛,采用3×3拉丁方设计,研究日粮补饲无机铜(0、8和18mg/kgDM)对瘤胃VFA浓度和尿嘌呤衍生物排出量的影响。结果表明:日粮补饲铜对瘤胃VFA浓度和摩尔比例有明显影响(P<0.05),与对照组相比,18mg/kgDM的补饲明显提高乙酸的摩尔比,降低丙酸、丁酸的浓度(P<0.05),而日粮中铜的补饲对尿中嘌呤衍生物排出量没有显著影响(P>0.05),每千克日粮补饲18mg/kgDM无机铜可明显促进瘤胃的发酵。An experiment was conducted to determine the effect of supplemental Cu (as Cu sulfate) on rumen fermentation and urinary excretion of purine derivatives in steers. Three ruminally cannulated steers were fed, in a 3 × 3 Latin square design, 2.8 kg/d concentrate and 4.2kg/d rice straw as a basic diet. Treatments consisted of the following : control (no supplemental Cu) and 8 or 18 mg Cu/kg DM (on DM basis of diet) from Cu sulfate. Rumen samples were collected at days 20 and 21 of experiment and urine were collected using a total collection of successive days. There were significant effects of supplementation of Cu on concentrate of VFA and ruminal VFA molar proportions (P〈0.05). Comparing with control (no supplementation), the molar percentage of acetate were higher and molar percentage of propionate or hutyrate were lower with supplementation of 18mg/kgDM Cu (P〈 0.05). However, the urinary purine derivative excretions were unaffected by the supplementation of Cu (P〉0. 05). These results indicated that Cu-supplemented at 18 mg/kgDM improved rumen fermentation in steers.
