Technique for Rearing the Pink Bollworm (Pcetinophora gossypiella)with Artificial Diet

摘  要:设计了4种饲料配方饲养红铃虫。结果表明,以取食A、B配方的红铃虫幼虫成活率最高,分别为65.0%和68.1%;取食A配方的幼虫期最短,为18.57 d,平均蛹重18.7 mg,与红铃虫田间种群及Adkisson饲养的蛹重差别不大,可以满足室内试验需要;经过连续4代饲养后,含麦胚的饲料配方可以使幼虫期稳定在19 d左右、蛹重稳定在18 mg以上,是目前能够稳定人工饲养红铃虫的最合适饲料。Technique for reating the pink bollworm, Pectinophora gossypieUa (Saund.), is reported. Firstly, composition of an artificial medium for laboratory cultures of the pink bollworm, Pectinophora gossypiella (Saund.), is given. The ameliorated composition of wheat germ diets is included in order to depress the diet cost. Compared with the those reared with B,C and D, average duration of the larval life history stage is the shortest when reared with A wheat germ diet, only 18.57days. Average pupal weight is 18.7rag for these reared on the same medium, which is close to the data from field and Adkisson' s, Furthermore, continuously rearing four generations ulteriorly shows the pink bollworm can be reared steadily by A wheat germ diet, average duration of the larval stage and average pupal weight are 18.97days and 0.0187g respectively. It should be cautious to use antiseptic in making the wheat germ diets.
