摘 要:To reduce the implementation complexity and mitigate the performance loss, an adaptive non- uniform quantized rain-sum approximation decoding for Low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes is proposed. The rain-sum approximation decoding is analyzed by density evolution. Since the probability density of variable nodes messages can be well approximated by Gaussian distri- bution, the density of variable nodes messages can be tracked by variance estimation during the iteration. Thus the non-uniform quantization scheme can be optimized ac- cordingly. Simulation results show that the adaptive nonuniform quantization scheme can achieve better error rate performance and faster decoding convergence than conven-tional non-uniform quantization and uniform quantization schemes.
