摘　　要：一个普通的高中女生，凭借自强不息的努力，终于在自己朝思暮想的柯尼·科林斯秀中一举成名，同时也收获了心仪已久的白马王子真挚的爱情。如果用这样一句话来概括音乐剧《发胶星梦》，恐怕难脱丑小鸭变天鹅的俗套。事实上，这部首演于2003年，此次全球同步热演的音乐剧新秀，同它的前辈们相比，更蕴含着一层深刻的社会命题。Amidst great dancing and hot music,in its unique way,Hairspray communicated a strong message of confidence,justice and freedom.This story,which took place in 1960s Bal- timore,truly captured the American Zeitgeist:the melodies,harmonies and rhythms already encapsulate the time and place.The songs and dance num- bers move,excite,and really fit beauti- fully in the storyline.One can't believe that all of these songs were specially written for the musical,rather than be- ing pop songs of its time.A perfect fit!
