试释《蛮书》中“白蛮最正”一语

摘　　要：运用语言学的理论和方法,用现代民族语言资料及有关语言古籍资料,对《蛮书》中"言语音白蛮最正"一段的结构、语义及与蒙舍、诸部落的语言、汉语、东爨语言进行比较和分析。认为白蛮和乌蛮及各部落使用的是一种共同语,即"白—乌蛮语"。这种共同语中的白蛮方言是南诏语,亦即古白语。Based on linguistic theories and approaches and on modern minority-language data and ancient language books, the paper makes a structural and semantic analysis of the paragraph ＂In Phonetics Baiman Is the Most Orthodox of All＂ in Manshu or the Book of Barbarians and then compares with the languages of Mengshe and other tribes, Han-ethnic language and Eastern Cuan＇s language. It raises the view that Baiman, Wuman, and other tribes used a common language： ＂Baiman-Wuman language＂, and that in this common language the Baiman＇s dialect was merely that of Nanzhao, which is the ancient Bai language.
