摘　　要：我国植物新品种保护条例规定解释了申请植物新品种保护的特异性、一致性和稳定性及新颖性等要求,根据玉米自身繁殖特点、品种类型、品种特性,对申请品种权时存在的问题进行汇总,并针对性地对申请时需要注意的申请时机、近似品种的选择、申请目标、提交种子的质量等环节进行了分析。对玉米新品种权的维护、保持、转让、共享等事项进行了阐述。对玉米产业目前植物新品种保护方面存在的问题和发展前景进行了讨论。The article analyzed seed multiplication, variety characters, genetic features, seed industry development and related plant variety protection （PVP） conditions in maize. Distinctness, Uniformity, Stability （DUS） and Novelty were explained according to the maize variety testing practice and PVP regulations. Some problems related to nomination, application timing, application targets and quality requirements of varieties submitted in the application of new variety protection were summarized so as to help breeders and companies to make better use of the Plant Breeder＇s Rights （PBR） such as PBR sharing, law vindication and PBR maintenance. Prospects of maize seed industry were also discussed and suggestions were put forward.
