摘　　要：俞敏洪正在新东方大力推行他的商业哲学:"东方的精神,西方的规矩"。这是俞敏洪团队两年前不会去考虑的问题。当他带领着一帮文人和他的新东方跨进了纽约证券交易所,这就成为了一次开创:中国的教育产业与靠增长数字说话的资本市场的初次对接。在美国人眼里,这也是一个标准的"美国梦"剧本,俞敏洪的开场很完美。在中国的五千年文明史上,这是一次突破。教育不再完全是"公益性事业"。要知道,直到《民办教育促进法》在2003年9月1日开始实行,民办学校出资人才首次被允许"从办学结余中取得合理回报"。中国的教育产业,这片等待耕耘的洼地,正在被资本市场发现、重估价值。但是,这仅仅是故事的开头。过去的两年,俞敏洪看起来干得不赖,即使他为此付出了不菲的代价。美国的资本市场就像一个放大器,将新东方的梦想、财富以及社会影响力进行了数十倍的放大,同时被放大的还有公司成长中的烦恼、压力和危险。俞敏洪要避免让新东方触碰到政策的天花板,又要为满足投资人的增长要求而不遗余力地高速扩张。同时,他还要管理好数量如此庞大的知识分子,这可是全世界最难管理的一类人。中国的教育产业能否与资本市场做到相得益彰?俞敏洪心里没底,这并非是俞敏洪一个人要面临的难题,是整个产业、甚至整个国家都要翻越的大山。When Yu Minhong and his fellows entered NYSE along with his New Oriental Company,it marked a new start:the first connection between Chinese education industry and western capital market which is strict with the increasing numbers.Even in Americans' eyes,this was a typical play of American dream and obviously Yu's debut was perfect. In the past two years,Yu has performed quite well,although he has also paid much price.American capital market is just like a magnifier,enlarging New Oriental's dream, wealth and social influence at several tens of times,however,the growing pains,pressure and danger are also stressed during the same time.It is a dilemma for Yu to avoid the policy's ceiling while expanding rapidly to meet with the increasing need from investors. Besides,he has to manage so many intellectuals who might be those hardest to deal with. Can Chinese education industry dance well with capital market?Yu has no standard answer.It is not only his own difficulty but a mountain that the whole industry or even the whole nation needs to overcome.
