摘　　要：为适应Internet应用飞速发展的需要,W3C(World Wide Web Consortium)制定了一套基于XML语言的可伸缩矢量图形语言SVG,它用于矢量图形的显示与传输。SVG格式的图形的优点可以很好的满足GIS对于空间数据图形显示的要求,可以向用户提供多样化的、直观易懂的和动态的图形用户界面,从而使它成为空间数据可视化的有效格式。文中阐述了SVG的概念、SVG应用于WebGIS的可能性,论述了SVG地图的制作方法,并使用两种方法制作SVG地图。In order to adapt the need of swift development of Internet, W3C （World Wide Web Consortium） has formulated a set based on XML language expandable vector graphical language SVG, it uses in the demonstration and the transmission of the vector graph. The SVG form＇s graph＇s merit may greatly satisfy GIS regarding the spatial data graphical display request, may provide the diversification, intuitively easy to understand and the dynamic graphical user interface to the user, thus causes it to become the effective form of the spatial data visualization. In the article, it elaborated the SVG concept, the possibility of SVG applying in the WebGIS, elaborated the SVG map＇s manufacture method, and uses two methods to manufacture the SVG map.
