美国联邦政府对研究型大学建设资助的实证研究——美国自然科学基金委经费分配分析

摘　　要：以定量研究为主的实证研究表明,美国联邦政府在美国研究型大学的建设过程中起到了重要作用。在肩负保证美国在科学技术主要前沿领域占据领先地位的重任过程中,美国国家科学基金委为美国研究型大学的科学、数学和工程等领域的基础研究与人才培养提供了主要的经费资助。1998-2007年,每年美国研究型大学数量占NSF资助前百强中的80%以上,世界一流大学获得的经费总量占NSF资助前200强大学经费总量的50%以上。Evidence indicates that the American Federal Government plays an important role in the construction of American research universities. The National Science Foundation （NSF） supplies main funding resources to these institutions which shoulder important responsibility to keep USA at the top of major science and technology fields. Research universities takes the proportion of more than 80 percent in the top one hundred universities, and the funding resources to the American world-class universities is more than half in top two hundred universities funded by the NSF.
