摘 要:随着IPTV、VOD、视频会议、VoIP等新兴网络业务的兴起,目前流行的几种宽带接入技术如xDSL,CableModem,LMDS将逐渐难已满足人们对带宽的需求。光纤到户(FTTH)是未来发展的目标,无源光网络(PON)则是实现这一目标的一种理想技术。本文对APON、EPON和GPON三种技术的特点加以分析比较,探讨了基于PON技术的FTTH技术在我国的应用与发展。Nowadays, with the tremendous demand of applications such as I PTV, VOD, video conference, and VolP in our digital world, it is getting more difficult to fulfill the popularity and the bandwidth requirement of today's Intemet usage with the carriers such as xDSL, Cable Modem, and LMDS. Fiber optics, with the speed of light, will be our next generation digital carrier in order to deliver much higher speed and better quality to overcome the need of bandwidth. Therefore, the development of FTTH and PON can make our dream come true. This paper analyzes and compares the characteristics of APON, EPON, and GPON, Moreover, this paper explores the application and development of FTTH technologies based on PON in China today.
