摘 要:在关联理论认知语境观的基础上,Yus(2000)对回声解释反讽理论加以补益,提出了反讽理解的语境激活模式和最佳可及性标准。他认为多项语境信息的激活有助于反讽意图的识别。理解时同时激活的语境信息与话语表达的命题间的不相容性越多,反讽越容易被识别。本文援引Yus的反讽理解模式,结合《傲慢与偏见》的反讽话语对三种典型情况进行分析,证明了该模式在文本分析中的有效性;同时也为解读Austen反讽艺术的独特魅力提供了一个新的视角,从而在认知语用学与文学批评结合研究方面进行了一次有意义的尝试。On the basis of the relevance-theoretic approach to context, Yus (2000) complements Echoic-Interpretation Theory of Irony with a model of contextual activation and criterion of optimal accessibility to irony. He claims that the identification of irony can be sped up with multiple activation of contextual sources, and may be easier or more difficult, depending on the number ( and quality) of incompatibilities detected by the hearer in multiple mental activation of the available contextual sources. Based on this model of irony comprehension,three prototypical cases are illustrated by analyzing verbal irony in Pride and Prejudice. The analysis,on the one hand,shows the effectiveness of Yus's model in discourse analysis. On the other hand,it provides a new perspective on the unique charm of Austen's art of irony and thus makes a significant attempt to the combination of cognitive pragmatics and literary criticism.
