摘　　要：提出一种基于区间编码索引的XQuery优化方案——XOS(XQuery Optimization Schema),利用DTD中的结构信息进行查询预处理,得到可能的路径集合;对不存在的查询路径能够在很短的时间内作出判断。该方案还能够过滤掉冗余结点,减少连接结点的数量,从而有效地优化XQuery查询。This paper proposes a new optimization schema based on region encoding XOS （XQuery Optimization Schema） that takes advantage of information embedded in DTD to speed up the process of XML path query and return the selected elements by pretreating. For a path expression that does not exist in the XML document, the schema can give a judgment of no answer in much shorter time. Then part of the selected elements will be removed, which reduces greatly number of join. This schema can optimize the query of XQuery in XML.
