文学与历史的互动——威廉·福克纳斯诺普斯三部曲的新历史主义解读

摘　　要：新历史主义文学评论强调文学与历史之间的互动关系,认为有预见的文学文本能够参与历史的发展与建构。福克纳的斯诺普斯三部曲——《村子》、《小镇》、《大宅》层层深入地剖析了南方没落的传统贵族、唯利是图的新兴贵族、具有民主意识的上层知识分子以及具有激进思想的下层人士,预示了未来南方的发展趋势,可以说,参与了美国南方历史的发展与建构、权利交替和等级秩序的建立,同时,也展现了福克纳的新历史主义思想。Neo-historical criticism stresses the reactions between literature and history, believing that the foreseeing literary works can participate in the development and construction of history. Faulkner＇ s Snopes trilogy, The Hamlet, The Town and The Mansion, gradually analyzes Southern decayed traditional aristocrats, profit-seeking new aristocrats, democratic upper- rank intellectuals and radical common people, foretelling the developing tendency of the South. As a result, it can be said that the trilogy participates in the construction of the Southern history, the turns of political fights and establishment of Southern orders, and meanwhile, reflects Faulkner＇ s neo-historicism.
