摘　　要：蔡元培与蒋梦麟是北京大学历史上两位产生过重要影响的校长。通常认为,蒋梦麟是秉承蔡元培的理念来办学的,二人的办学和治校理念如出一辙。本文的研究表明.二位校长的治校理念存在根本差异。管理模式迥异。蔡元培的理想是学者团体式管理,而蒋梦麟则推崇科层式管理。而两种治校理念都对蔡元培时代的教授治校制度产生了深刻的影响。Cai Yuanpei and Jiang Menglin are two influential presidents in the history of Peking University.It is generally accepted that Jiang governed the university in succession to Cai's principle and that the two presidents shared the similar thoughts of university governance.The paper aims to clarify that the two presidents differed in their thoughts of university governance and management model.Cai's ideal is the collegial model,while Jiang values bureaucratic management.However,both of their thoughts and practices exerted profound impacts to the faculty governance in Cai Yuanpei's reform in Peking University.
