摘　　要：对"临夏鸵鸟Struthio linxiaensis Hou et al.,2005"骨架和蛋壳化石的重新观察表明,其骨架和蛋壳化石的一些特征有悖于鸵鸟(Struthio)的特征,因此将"临夏鸵鸟"建立一新属:东方鸵鸟Orientornis gen.nov.以区别于Struthio,并修订了属的特征;修订后的鸵鸟科化石包括:Namornis,Diamantornis,Struthio,Orientornis gen.nov.4属。Reobservation on ＂Struthio lin~＇iaensis Hou et al.. 2005＂ suggests that its pelvic skeleton and eggshells are quite different from those of Struthio in some diagnoses. Hence in order to distinguish it from ostrich, Orientornis gen. nov. is erected according to the diagnosis. After revising, the genera which can be ascribed into the Jam ily Struthionidae includes Namornis, Diamantornis, Struthio and Orientornis gen. nov.
