缩短平均住院日是现代医院管理思维的具体体现

摘　　要：平均住院日是评价医院工作效率和效益、医疗护理工作质量和技术水平的综合指标。从医院管理角度总结北京朝阳医院近五年来在缩短平均住院日方面所做出的努力,指出:缩短平均住院日既能提高医院的工作效率和效益,又能减少住院病人的经济支出,是对于国家、医院、百姓都有益的举措,势在必行。Average length of stay was a total index which evaluated hospital efficiency and effectiveness, medical and nursingservice quality and technological. Experiences of shortening average length of stay in Beijing Chaoyang Hospital in current fiveyears were introduced in view of hospital management. As a result, shortening average length of stay could not only promotehospital efficiency and benefit, but reduce patient＇s medical expense. The nation, hospital and the public could all benefit fromit and it would predict for widely application.
