摘　　要：2008年北京奥运会的圣火已经熄灭。当人们为中国竞技体育的辉煌战绩举杯庆贺之时,我们却想做一点冷思考,以日本、韩国举办奥运会后竞技体育的滑坡为前车之鉴,意在提醒中国竞技体育要为衰落作准备。因为大部门体制改革将会动摇"举国体制"的根基,再加上以人为本的和谐社会对大众体育的呼唤,竞技体育人才"源头"的萎缩与"出口"的堵塞,民众的社会心理期待等,将可能会使后北京奥运时代的中国竞技体育步履维艰。The holy fire of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games has been extinguished. The author holds that competitive sports of China should be ready for the decline by a kind of reverse thought, while the Chinese are cheering for the achievements. The competitive sports of Japan and Korea had declined after they held the Olympic Games. The national competitive sports system would be changed under the background of the reform of ＂sports under the national system＂. The harmonious society calls for sports for all. The reserve forces of Chinese athletes are reducing. And it is hard for the Chinese athletes to find jobs after their retirement. Competitive sports of China will have a hard time after the Beijing Olympic Games.
