摘　　要：新式体育是近代中国文化长河中的一支奇葩,有其独特的文化品质,又彰显出迷人的文化魅力。它为中国接触奥林匹克运动,促使中国体育文化的转型和发展,使中国传统文化和体育文化走向世界作出了奠基性贡献,为今日中国成功举办奥运会作出了准备和铺垫,也为中国体育的持续发展提供了有益借鉴。Foreign sports events were introduced into China in the early 1900s had particular cultural taste and charm. They helped China to be close to the Olympic Movement and transform the Chinese sports culture. They contributed to the to the Chinese traditional culture and sports culture to be understood by the world and to have hosted successful Olympic Games.
