摘　　要：麦尔维尔小说《白鲸》中人物意识和无意识的多层次描写使得他的小说在人的精神和心理层面的刻画上达到了前所未有的高度。他对人的心理的研究与弗洛伊德有许多相合之处,因此,运用弗洛伊德的精神分析理论,可以更立体地把握麦尔维尔的精神世界。In his novelMobyDick, or the Whale, Herman Melville made unprecedented success in man＇s spirit and psychology exploration by depicting his characters＇ consciousness and unconsciousness from different layers and dimensions. He had many similarities with Sigmund Freud in psychological study. So Melville＇s spiritual world can be well and deeply understood by Freud＇s depth psychology.
