摘　　要：冯国璋是在袁世凯死后与皖系军阀首领段祺瑞并列的早期直系军阀头目。在帝国主义采取分裂中国的政策下,北洋军阀各派都以列强为靠山。以英美为背景的直系首领冯国璋与以日本为后台的皖系军阀为控制中央政权展开了激烈的角逐。在此过程中,冯国璋打击段祺瑞的内外政策,在很大程度上打击了日本的侵华政策,也反映其民族主义思想的一面。After Yuan Shi - kai died, Feng Guo - zhang was the head of Zhi Warlords, parallel to Duan Qi - rui.
