摘　　要：研究了一个特定的9-7小波. 证明了Z97有很好的数学性质,它的提升系数适合ASIC实现. 实验证明了Z97在压缩性能超过CDF97而计算复杂度大大低于CDF97.因此,Z97是基于小波的图像和视频压缩技术首选小波.A specific wavelet-Z97 wasstudied. The investigation showed that the Z97 has good mathematical properties, and its lifting coefficients were very suitable for software and ASIC implementation. Lots of experiments show that Z97 precedes CDF97 on compression performance , and Z97＇s computation complexity were obviously lower than CDF97＇s. So, Z97 is an excellent wavelet for image and video compression technique.
