摘　　要："老"英雄术是指古代帝王怀柔敌对势力精英,消磨其心志的政治策略。清朝前期的四代帝王出于巩固政权的需要,入关以后,尊孔崇儒,以儒家伦理约束士人;大兴科举,笼络分化汉族士大夫阶层;组织纂修大批图书,借此消磨士人的精力,使其无暇他顾。清前期的"老"英雄术,稳定了政治局面,罗致了人才,客观上推动了清代学术文化的发展。Methods of wearing down hernes are actually the policies used by ancient emperors to mollify the outstanding people who take the opposite position and to wear down their will. To meet the needs of consolidating the politics, the first four emperors of Qing Dynasty have done a lot after entering Shanhaiguan. They advocated Confucianism to restrict scholars. They also established imperial examination to assimilate and divide noble classes of Han nationality. Organizing scholars to write and compile large numbers of books, they wore down the scholars＇ energy and avoided their rebellion. Through this kind of policy, those emperors have consolidated their politics. And at the same time, obiectivelv speaking, the science and culture of Qing Dynasty have been promoted.
