摘　　要：空间拓扑关系形式化描述模型是GIS空间关系研究的重要内容之一,在GIS数据建模、空间查询、空间分析、空间推理等过程中起着重要作用.文中主要给出了空间拓扑关系形式化描述方法的分类,阐述了空间拓扑关系的形式化描述模型与表达方法,分析比较了各自的优缺点,并探讨了目前存在的问题和今后的发展方向.The formal description of spatial topological relationships is one of the key theoretical issues in the Spatial relationships of GIS, which plays a very important role in the process of GIS data modeling, spatial querying, spatial analysis as well as spatial reasoning. This article states in detail the classification of spatial topological relationship, explains the formal topological models and the expression methods of the spatial topological relationships, analyzes and compares the advantages and disadvantages of these models. This paper also discusses the problem existeing at present and the direction of the future development.
