摘　　要：宋如海是我国近代体育名人,为湖北体育和华中体育乃至全国体育的拓展做出过重大贡献,但在人们的记忆中却被遗忘了。他作为中国参加奥运会的第一位正式代表,为传播奥林匹克运动精神发挥过重要作用。在2008年奥运会结束之际,追忆宋如海的体育活动和体育思想,有其特殊的意义。Song Ruhai , the modem Chinese physical celebrity who did great contributions to the physical education in Hubei , center China and even the whole country, was forgotten by people. As the Chinese first official representative joining Olympic Games , he played an important role on spreading the Olympic spirits. Therefore, at the time of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games , there is a special significance to recall his physical theory and practice .
