30%-50%,50%-70%。The previous researches of influence of segregation on asphalt mixture performance were qualitative and not comprehensive. The segregation of asphalt mixture was divided into four levels in this research: fine, none, low, and high. A laboratory testing program was designed that used the data from two of the field projects to simulate segregated mixtures in the laboratory. Simulating the variability of asphalt mixture' s grade, asphalt binder content and air void in factual construction conditions, performance of asphalt mixture was tested to analyze the influence of segregation. The laboratory tests were carried out to estimate the influence of various levels of segregation on high temperature stability, water stability and anti-fatigue performance. The influence of segregation on mixture properties is achieved. The results indicate that (1) high temperature stability declines in fine and high segregation conditions markedly; (2) fine segregation induces a little increase of water stability and anti-cracking performance; (3) in low and high segregation conditions, water stability decreases 34% and 51% respectively, and anti-fatigue performance decreases 30% - 50% and 50% - 70% respectively.
