摘　　要：大学功能不是一成不变,而是与时俱进、不断拓展的,大学的社会功能与社会的需求和对大学的期望直接相关。研究大学的功能首先要从大学发展的社会实践出发,必须注意社会进步与大学"内部逻辑"发展的统一;其二,注意研究大学功能的结构,即要注重研究大学各功能之间的关系和联系,包括层次和类型,以及对不同大学中各种功能的大小顺序和限度;其三,要重视功能的形态与表述的统一,以及其命名的科学性。University function instead of being irrevocable, keeps pace with times and engages in exploitation and innovation. The social function of university is straightly related to social demands and expectations for university. Attention should be paid to the research of university function. First, the starting point of research is social practice of university development, which should corresponds with the inner logic of university. Second, the struc- ture of university function should be studied. Third, the form of function should be united with the disciplines nominated by university.
