摘　　要：党的十七大强调:在社会主义新农村建设的具体实践过程中,努力探寻循环经济发展模式。这无疑给我们指明了社会主义新农村建设前进的方向。循环经济的探索与发展同社会主义新农村建设的目标和任务具有完全的统一,在循环经济背景下全面推动西部地区社会主义新农村建设的各项方针、政策便是现今当务之急、历史的选择。The 17th National Congress of the CPC stresses that we should endeavour to explore the development mode of circular economy in the concrete practice of constructing socialist new countryside. This undoubtedly points out the direction of the progress of constructing socialist new countryside. Under the background of circular economy, full promotion of the principles and policies of socialist new countryside in western part of China is thus an urgent and a historic alternative.
