摘　　要：儒家思想为我国传统文化主干之一。儒家学派本属春秋战国时期诸子百家中一个学派,自汉武帝刘彻推行"罢黜百家,独尊儒术"的思想政策后,长期居于封建统治思想地位。历代明君贤相、志士仁人都奉儒学著作为经典,从中汲取安邦治国的指导准则。在封建社会里,儒家竭力宣扬爱国思想,维护国家统一;鼓励农桑,发展社会经济,增强国力;严肃礼法以安定社会秩序;倡导忠孝仁义以提高思想道德;首倡私学以普及文化教育。在政治、经济、文化诸方面都作出重要贡献,为当今建设社会主义和谐社会留下可资借鉴的宝贵思想财富。当今中华民族的历史使命之一,是要齐心协力重振国学,复兴儒学,光大祖国传统文化,加强中华文化优秀传统教育,建设中华民族共有精神家园。在多元文化思潮激荡的今天,彰显国学十分必要,复兴饱经沧桑的儒学尤当列为重点。Confucianism makes up one of the major sources of traditional Chinese culture. The Confucian School was originally an ordinary member of a hundred schools of thought and their exponents in the periods of Spring ＆ Autumn and Warring States. It had presided over the feudalistic ideology for a long time ever since Liu Che, the Emperor Wudi of Han Dynasty, who implemented the policy of ＂advocating Confucianism exclusively while abolishing other schools of thought＂. For ages, wise emperors and ministers as well as persons of ideals and integrity had all esteemed Confucian works as classics and had drawn on from them the guiding principles for governing a state. In the feudal periods, Confucianism earnestly advocated patriotism to consolidate national unity, and encouraged farming and planting to develop social economy and to enhance national strength. It persisted in strict observance of rites and laws to stabilize the social order, stressed the cultivation of such personal characteristics as filial piety, benevolence and integrity to create a favorable moral atmosphere, and established private schools to popularize cultural education. Besides all those significant historical contributions made to the development of politics, economy and culture, Confucianism has also left behind valuable ideological heritage for the modern construction of a harmonious socialist society. One of the historical missions currently confronting the Chinese is to revive concertedly the traditional Chinese learning in order to carry on and make popular the essence of traditional Chinese culture and eventually to build up a spiritual community of the Chinese nation. All in all, in a world surging with multi-cultural trends of thought today, how to bring out the traditional Chinese learning is of greater and greater necessity, and the top priority of which should be given to the revival of Confucianism.
