摘　　要：本文旨在介绍美国南方女作家凯瑟琳·安妮·波特笔下几篇以女性人物为主人公的著名短篇小说。通过对这些女性人物的女性主义研究,笔者尝试证实波特作为一位早期的女性主义作家的身份,同时确定她在女性写作方面所取得的成就。除了她受到普遍认可的写作技巧,本文将重点对波特的女性题材和作品中的女性意识加以阐述。她的女性主题包括女性人物在父权制现实世界中的幻想、对于强加于自身的"他者"形象进行反抗,以及女性自我意识的觉醒与自我实现的探索等。This thesis mainly discusses the Southem American female writer Katherine Anne Porter and some of her short stories, in which female characters play a dominant role. Through a feminist study of her female characters, this thesis attempts to establish her position as an early feminist writer and ascertain her outstanding achievements in female writing. Besides her commonly acknowledged writing techniques, here the author would give prominence to her subject matters, which invariably focus on the conflicts between female illusions and the real, patriarchal world, their rebellion to the othemess imposed on their mind, and their self awareness which is often developed into a practical self-realization.
