摘　　要：介绍了TI公司最新推出的TMS320DM6446芯片的特点,其DSP和ARM双核结构能同时满足图像应用在运算能力和控制功能上的要求;针对双核处理器的特点,提出了图像压缩系统的设计;试验结果满足各项指标,并在图像压缩系统中得到应用。The features of TMS320DM6446 are introduced. The dual-core architecture,ARM plus DSP, can fully satisfy the requirements of image processing in both calculation and control capabilities. According to characteristics of the dual-core processor, the design scheme of an image compression system is put forward. Experiments proved that it could meet the index requirement. The scheme has been used in an image compression system practically.
