摘　　要：文章首先介绍了剖析工业和楼宇自动化系统领域中通信协议的一般方法,然后描述了使用该方法剖析所得的GE爱德华EST3火灾报警系统主机的外部通信协议,详细说明了该协议数据链路层的具体帧格式,同时举例说明该协议应用层的基本格式一些具体分组格式。The paper first introduces a general method on how to dissect a communication protocol. As an example of this method, the paper describes the external communication protocol （ECP） used in the GE Edwards EST3 fire alarm system. A detailed link layer frame format of the protocol is presented. The application layer＇s general format is also given; with some specific packet formats demonstrated.
