摘　　要：存储区域网络是一个连接服务器和存储设备的网络,是存储领域最流行的技术。它采用光纤通道技术实现服务器和存储设备之间的互联,为服务器和存储设备之间提供高速的数据传输通道。这里讨论了SAN带来的优势,分析了数据备份技术,并对它们各自的优缺点做了比较。最后,给出了一个基于SAN的数据备份软件的设计方案。Storage Area Network （SAN） is a network connecting servers and storage devices, and is the most popular technology in the storage field. The paper analyzes the technology of data backup, and then discuesses the advantage of storage that SAN brings. SAN realizes the connection between servers and storage devices using the technology of fibre channel. It also offers a high - speed data transfer channel for servers and storage devices. The paper discuesses the advantage of storage that SAN brings , and then analyzes the technology of data backup, and compares their own merits and faults, lastly, give a designs of data backup software basing on SAN.
