摘 要:同只具有简单环境数据采集功能的传统无线传感器网络(WSNs)相比,无线多媒体传感器网络(WMSNs)能实现精细粒度的音频、视频、图像等媒体信息的采集与处理,在军事、民用、商业等领域具有非常广阔的应用前景。能耗问题是WMSNs的核心问题,已受到各界的广泛关注。主要从节点节能的角度出发,分析了视频节点的能耗主要来源及其分布,结合视频节点结构和其能耗分布特点,从数据采集、数据处理和数据传输3个方面探讨了节点节能技术的国内外研究进展与所面临的挑战,并展望了未来的发展趋势。Compared with traditional WSNs which can only measure simple scalar physical phenomena,wireless multimedia sensor networks(WMSNs) are able to ubiquitously retrieve multimedia content such as video , audio streams and still images. Potential applications of WMSNs span a wide spectrum from military to industrial, from commercial to environmental monitoring. Energy consumption problem is the focus and basic one in the design of WMSNs which has drawn a vast amount of attentions. It is analyzed that the main energy consumption source of video node and its energy consumption distribution. Combined with the structure of video node and the characteristic of its energy consumption distribution, the technical challenges in this field are discussed with respect to data gathering, processing and transmitting. The open research issues of this problem are also pointed out.
