摘　　要：支撑网络协议的高速通信技术和计算技术的飞速发展及新型网络应用的不断出现，使得传统协议在功能和性能两个方面面临新的挑战。传统的网络协议，特别是运输层协议，无法满足新型应用复杂的通信需求，也无法反映高速网络多样的传输服务，成为网络学术界新的研究热点。本文试图从历史的观点出发揭示网络协议发展的内在动力和未来趋势。As the development of high-speed transmission and computing technologies and the appearance of novel applications, traditional network protocols have met great challenges in functionality and performance. Academy shows great interests in transport protocols for they fail to satisfy the application requirement and to reflect the new services what network offers. The purpose of this paper is to attempt to reveal the forces and trends behind the development of protocols.
