摘　　要：结合近年来图书情报界有关知识服务的发文量,论述了图书馆开展知识服务的困难、图书馆各层次服务的发展趋势、图书馆核心竞争力、广东省科技图书馆开展知识服务的实践以及发展图书馆知识服务的建议等。Providing knowledge service is a new trend for the development of library. To provide knowledge service, libraries would face what kinds of difficulties？ What＇s the future trend of the library services at each level？ What＇s the core competitiveness of library？ This paper discusses the upper questions, offers suggestions to develop knowledge services and shares the practice on developing knowledge service of the Science and Technology Library of Guangdong as well.
