摘　　要：本文通过对美国女作家雪莉.杰克逊的短篇小说《摸彩》故事文本的研究,重点讨论故事的叙事手法产生的种种悬念,及其对故事主题,即对人性阴暗面的揭示作用。This article, with a detailed textual reading of The Lottery, a short story by the American woman writer Shirley Jackson, focuses on an analysis of the suspensions created by the story＇s narration and of the function the narration plays in revealing the story＇s theme： an exposure of the evil side of human nature.
