摘　　要：纪念赛珍珠获诺贝尔文学奖70周年暨镇江市国际友好交流大会期间,2008中国镇江赛珍珠国际学术研讨会召开。本次研讨会取得了新的丰硕的学术成果,主要表现在史料的挖掘与历史的考察、文本的阐释与比较意识的增强、对赛珍珠思想的探究与文化精神的凝练诸方面,并由此将赛珍珠研究提升到了一个新的水准。To commemorate the 70th anniversary of Pearl S. Buck＇ s winning of the Nobel Prize for Literature, Pearl S. Buck International Symposium, Zhenjiang, China, 2008 was held. The symposium was a major success with remarkable achievements, as exhibited in the discovery and collection of new historic materials and relics concerned, new explications of texts in the light of a comparative sense, and the inquiry of Pearl S. Buck＇ s ideologies and cultural spirit, thus promoting Pearl S. Buck studies to an even higher level.
