短角鸟虱属一新种(食毛目:短角鸟虱科)  

A NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS MENOPON FROM PHEASANT (MALLOPHAGA: MENOPONIDAE)

摘　　要：本文报道了从上海动物园褐马鸡（Crossoptilon mantchuricum）体上所采到的一种羽虱，根据其特征，经鉴定后，该虫种为头角亚目（Amblycera）、短角鸟虱科（Menoponidae）、短角鸟虱属（Menopon）一新种，文内就其所有的特征进行描述，并绘图。The present paper describes a new species of bird lice parasitic on pheasant from Shanghai Zoological Garden. Menopen mantchuricum Sun et Liu, sp. nov. (Fig 1) This new species is similar to M. gallinae L. 1758, but differs in the following characteristics: 1. Total length 2 .4 mmy breadth 0.9 mm in female, total length 2. 17-2 .48 mm, breadth 0.78-0.99 mm in male, this new species is larger than M. gal,linae L. (R total length 1.80-2. 10 mm, total length 1 .70-1.85 mm); 2. The sitophore sclerite of hypopharynx without gula (Fig 1 A); 3. Sternnes Ⅲ－Ⅶ with brush of short setae on each side and on the third femur also with it (Fig 1 B); 4. with abdominal pleurites in male (Fig 1 C); 5. The shape of the male genitalia differs from the other species. (Fig 1 D). Type host: Crossoptilon mantchuicum. Holotype allotype paratype 2 collected from Shanghai Zoo in 1987. The type specimens are deposited in the Department of parasitology, Shanghai Medical University.
