摘 要:"Polyphony"一词是西方音乐理论中最常见的词汇之一,其含意主要为多声部音乐。在欧美的西方音乐理论中,"多声部音乐"≠"复调音乐"。然而,"Polyphony"一词在我国的西方音乐理论界却几尽被翻译或理解为"复调音乐",形成某种"多声部音乐"="复调音乐"的误解,此种现象已历经数十年,业已成为我国音乐界的某种"共识"。本文拟以西方音乐发展的历史进程,重新审视此词,力求解读其应有的含义。Polyphony, a term used to designate various important categories in music: namely, music in more than one part, music in many parts. However, the writer an opinion that the music in many parts could not be equated with Polyphony in the western music theory, but it translated in Chinese almost in the meaning of music in many parts, which misunderstanding in Chinese music theory circle for several decades The paper was reviewing the word in the course of the history of western music, tried to give it a right meaning in Chinese.
