摘　　要：建筑的形象是城市形象的一个重要组成部分。高层住宅作为一种主要的建筑形式,虽然不能比拟标志性的公共建筑对城市形象的界定能力,但由于其建设规模数量的巨大,在城市建设中占了很大的比例,也成为城市形象构成的重要部分。城市高层住宅的形象既要符合新建筑美学审美要求,也要符合建筑审美不断发展的要求。The images of constructions are the important part of the image of a city. Though there is no comparison between the High-level housing and the symbolic public architectures in the capability of defining urban image, the High-level housing as a primary form of architecture become an significant constituent of urban image for their large scale absolutely and great proportion relatively. The urban High-level housing must follow those general rules in the architectural aesthetics as well as new requirements changing along with times. They should keep abreast of the times and embody the ethos or times＇ spirit, being characterized by the in- novative conception, the creative use of new technique and new material, the concision and good taste as a whole and the delicacy and refinement in detail. The futuristic building has the tendency of combination of high-technologized surface and spatial structure. The High-level housing, built in large scale, cannot adopt those costly facilities in order to control the cost within the receivability of the market, and are restricted by the functional requisite to their use of material technology. How- ever, there are some sharing aesthetic principles. The image of the High-level housing should avoid the cockamamie ornaments and the overuse of out-of-date image elements to the present archi- tectures.
