摘　　要：2008年全球地震活动为中等水平,但地震灾情较重。地震死亡和失踪人数总计88223人。伤374171人。经济损失8500亿元。重大地震灾害发生在中国。四川汶川8级地震是中国自唐山地震以来最严重的震灾。The global seismicity in the year 2008 was of medium level, but its disaster situation was heavier. The significant disastrous earthquakes occurred in China. Altogether in the world 88223 people died, 374171 people injured, and 8500 billion yuan economic losses were caused by earthquakes. The Wenchuan earthquake of MsS. 0 was the heaviest earthquake disaster since Tangshan earthquake in China.
