摘　　要：美国海军研究生院是美军最早和最著名的研究生教育机构,但在世纪之交却陷入了生存困境。面对外界的批评,海军研究生院进行了大刀阔斧的改革:拓宽服务市场,提高教育质量,增强教学科研的国防相关性。海军研究生院的改革对各国军队院校具有普遍的借鉴意义,更在开放办学、加强市场意识等方面给我军院校以深刻的启示。U.S. Naval Postgraduate School （NPS） is the pioneer military graduate school; however, it was caught in a dilemma at the turn of the century. Facing the fierce critiques from the outside, NPS conducted bold reforms such as broadening the service market, improving the education quality and increasing the defense relevance in teaching and research. The experience of NPS reform can be drawn on for military education reform in our country.
