摘　　要：本文通过对中外高层住宅发展历程的回顾与研究,指出在以信息和生态为主题的21世纪,高层住宅将日益呈现出功能复杂化、空间多样化、环境生态化、形态个性化等四个特征,进而总结出垂直城市化将是未来高层住宅的主要发展方向。Based on reviewing and researching of high-rise dwellings＇ development in China and foreign countries, the author pointed out that in the 21st century which themed by information and ecology, high-rise dwellings will express four characteristics： complicated functions, diversified spaces, ecological circumstances and personalized shapes. Then the author summarized that vertical urbanization will be one of the main developmental directions of high-rise dwellings in the future.
